Prerequisites
Postal 2 on steam (needed for STP on newer versions)
Postal 2 STP
Radmin VPN
Patch 1409x (optional)
STP Widescreen fix (for non-steam users)
Postal Fudge Pack (optional)
Introduction
Hello fellow Postal people! in this tutorial I'm going to go over how to play STP (Share The Pain) Both on old and new versions of Postal 2.
Getting started on Original STP/1409
1. You want to open STP by either opening steam and clicking play on postal 2 and selecting Multiplayer (unsupported) or if you downloaded the free STP version go to C:\Program Files (x86)\Postal2STP\System and launch Postal2MP.exe
2. once STP is launched click Multiplayer > Player and change your name and skin and make sure your connection type is "T1 or LAN"
3. now you want to launch the program Radmin VPN that you got from the prerequisites tab
4a. if you're creating a network hit your INS key or click Network > Create Network once done you will have a pop-up window (seen in image down below) with that window you want to fill out everything it says think of it like creating a password Network name = Username Password = Password
4b. if you're joining a network hit the + key on your numpad or click Network > Join Network and ask your friend for the network name and password
5a. if you're hosting a game click Multiplayer > Host Game then configure anything and hit start
5b. if you're joining first open Radmin VPN and right-click on the username of your friend that is hosting then click "Copy IP Address" once done go back to STP and click Multiplayer > Direct IP and paste the IP you copied and hit OK
if done correctly you should be in a game with your friend!
Getting Started on Postal 2 Steam
this section is for enabling the Multiplayer function on newer versions of Postal 2 if you wanna know how to host and join read the section above
1. right click on Postal 2 on steam and click Manage > Browse local files
2. in the file explorer window that just opened go to the System folder and find Postal2.ini (its usually below the Postal2.exe file) and open it in Notepad
3. in notepad hit Ctrl+F and paste this in bShowMP and hit enter
4. if done correctly it'll take you to the option of the same name and what you want to do is change it to False to True
5. hit Ctrl+S and close out of notepad
6. open Postal 2 on Steam and you should see the Multiplayer tab!
